Austin Winkley & Associates has extensive experience of working on historic buildings.  This experience is twofold:

• technical skills in carrying out conservation works to the historic fabric of buildings.  This specialist skill is backed up by Austin Winkley's Architectural Association Post Graduate Diploma in Building Conservation, and by Tim Gough's accreditation as a conservation architect

• creative design in the context of listed and historic buildings.  We have particular experience in making proposals for the effective use or reuse of historic buildings, obtaining planning and listed building consent for them, and implementing them for our clients in a cost-effective manner

We are experienced in applying for grants for conservation work for our clients - particularly our church clients - and are also familiar with tax and VAT issues in this field.
