We entered a project for a conference centre for a software company on the banks of the Danube in Budapest, Hungary. The site was an old concrete frame for a crane, so the building cantilevers over the water. In order to cater for different scales of event, the building opens and closes by one section of it sliding back and forth - as if the building is breathing.
